2018 Suzuki Burgman Street 125 which gears up for launch in India on July 19, is expected to be priced at around Rs 68,000. This makes it the most expensive Suzuki scooter on sale in India.
Showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, this new maxi scooter has already started making its way to company dealerships across the country, while bookings open at a down payment of Rs 5,000.
New Suzuki Burgman 125 can be noted with some outstanding features with a small visor, sharp apron shoulders, chunky handlebars, a large seat and fully digital instrument console. The feature laden Suzuki Burgman Street 125 also gets LED head and tail lamps, telescopic forks in the front, tubeless tyres, front disc brakes and rear monoshock, and a 12V charging socket. It will also be seen with a multi function key slot and a Combi Brake System.
Ahead of launch, Youtuber Dino’s Vault has managed to get a test ride of this new scooter. He has tested the scooter’s top speed, its braking and its high speed stability. Watch his Youtube video below.
Burgman Street 125 sits on 12” alloy wheels in the front and 10” wheels at the rear. Ground clearance is at 160mm while seat height is at 780mm. It weighs a total of 110 kgs and has a fuel tank of 5.6 liter capacity.
Performance of the new Burgman Street 125 has been detailed in Dino’s new video. It can accelerate to a top speed of 100 kmph with braking power from 60-0 kmph achieved in just 2 seconds. It is powered by the same engine seen on the Access 125. This 125cc, single cylinder engine offering 8.5 bhp peak power at 6,500 rpm and 10.2 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm mated to a CVT.
Though the new Suzuki Burgman Street 125 will find no direct competition upon launch in India, it will have to contend with the Honda Activa, Honda Grazia 125, Aprilia SR 125.
