2018 Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF launched in India – Price Rs 80,928

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, have officially launched the new Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF series in India. A host of updates can be seen on the 2018 Gixxer and Gixxer SF Series which includes new color schemes of Candy Sonoma Red/ Metallic Sonic Silver besides Glass Sparkle Black. The Gixxer models sport new graphics and an ECSTAR logo on the Metallic Blue Gixxer SF model which is MotoGP inspired.

Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF series are priced at INR 80,928 and INR 90,037 – ex-showroom Delhi, respectively. They are powered by the same 155cc engine with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology.

The bikes will get new features and the same powerful chassis which has been designed and developed by the engineers who have designed the flagship GSX-R series. The engine is now BS IV compliant and the new Gixxer Series will come in with All-time Headlight On (AHO) feature. Powering both motorcycles is a state of the art 155 cc single cylinder air-cooled engine that delivers 14.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Transmission is taken care by a 5 speed MT. It gets front and rear disc brakes, telescopic front suspension, and mono shock rear suspension.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited expects to see outstanding success where these two new models are concerned. It may be noted that ever since the launch of the Gixxer brand in India, the Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF has received the highest ranking in Motorcycle Upper Executive segment for 3 consecutive years, while it was for the second time in the Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study by JD Power India for 2017. The two models are open for booking at all company dealerships across the country and deliveries have also commenced.
