With the festive season going strong, Tata Motors earlier today launched the all new Tata Tigor. A few days earlier, the automaker announced actor Hritik Roshan as brand ambassador for the sedan. Now they have previewed the 2018 Tata Tigor TVC with Hrithik in the driver’s seat. The tagline of the car is – Sedan for the Stars.
Today’s launch comes more than a year and a half after the vehicle’s debut. Following a few online teasers and spyshots from dealerships, not much was left to imagination regarding upgrades that are seen in the car now. Prices start from Rs 5.2 lakhs, ex-sh, Delhi. Watch the TVC below.
New Tata Tigor features new LED tail lamp, double barrel headlamps with projector lights and integrated turn signal lights, and an upgrade in the front grille. Bumper updates include chrome finish, and then there are clear lens tail lamps along, and a chrome belt line.
The vehicle showcased at launch was finished in Egyptian Blue paint. While cosmetic changes are the order of the day, Tata Tigor facelift is the handiwork of exterior and interior updates, new colour options and a higher price work. What stays under the hood, still stays there. 2018 Tata Tigor continues to get power from a 1.2-litre, 3 cyl petrol Revotron engine that returns 83 bhp and 115 NM torque. The 1.05-litre, 3 cyl Revotorq diesel engine returns 69 bhp and 140 Nm torque. Mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the petrol gets AMT option.
Other colour options on offer are – Berry Red, Pearlescent White, Espresso Brown, Titanium Grey and Platinum Silver. A new Tata Tigor XZ+ top end variant is introduced with all the rick pickings seen on XZ variant. The package is further sweetened with the inclusion of power folding wing mirrors, power windows, a shark fin antenna and new alloy wheels.
A larger touchscreen infotainment system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay , and MirrorLink. It will receive power windows, power steering and electric mirrors. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors and corner stability control. Take a look at detailed photos below.
