2018 Toyota Etios Liva special edition launched – Rivals Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20

Toyota Motors India has announced the launch of a new special edition of their Etios Liva hatchback. Called Etios Liva Limited Edition, new exterior features include Stylish new dual tone design with red streaks, Sporty black interiors with Red accents, only one Exterior Color – Super White, Painted roof contrast, which is a direct factory built – first in its segment.

The Etios Liva is powered by 1.2 liter petrol offering 80 PS power and 104 Nm torque or 1.4 liter diesel offering 68 PS power and 170 Nm torque engine options. Both engines get mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Price of the petrol special edition starts from Rs 6.5 lakhs while that of the diesel variant starts from Rs 7.65 lakhs. Toyota Etios Liva dual tone variant sets itself apart from the regular model. It gets a glossy black front grille, gloss black roof and ORVMs along with roof spoiler and 2 tone 10 spoke alloy wheels in the same color scheme. These dual tones are offered on the Toyota Etios Liva V and VX petrol variants and on the VD and VXD diesel variants.

Speaking about sales, Toyota India sales declined for the month of July 2018, when they registered sales of 13,677 units as against 17,758 units sold in July 2017. Liva and Liva Cross sales in India average at about 1,000 units a month. It rivals the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20, which registers about 30,000 units a month in sales.
