The new Yamaha R3 facelift has been launched in the India today. Price starts from Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and it comes with dual channel ABS. Instead of the MRF tyres, you now get Metzeler.
Yamaha R3 facelift gets several cosmetic upgrades, even as engine specifications remain the same. In terms of designs, the Yamaha R3 BS IV Facelift receives front twin headlamps with LEDs offering excellent illumination at night, sharp fairing, revised front fascia, side fairing and a new tail section.
The motorcycle will boast of the same riding position with optimum comforts and sporty styling while dimensions will stand at 2090mm length, 720mm width, 1135 height and seat height of 780mm. It will have kerb weight of 167 kgs and a fuel tank of 14 liter capacity.
Yamaha R3 facelift will be powered by a 321cc, in-line, twin cylinder, liquid cooled engine offering 41 bhp peak power at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm torque at 9,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in less than 6 seconds.
The new R3 competes with the likes of KTM RC 390, Benelli TNT 302, Ninja 300 besides others in its class.
