In the commercial vehicle segment, sales dipped 13 percent in April 2019 to 57,047 units as compared to 65,551 units sold in the same month last year. Total domestic commercial vehicle sales also fell 9 percent to 26,229 units as compared to 28,722 units sold in April 2018 while exports dipped 16 percent to 30,818 units in April 2019 as against 36,829 units exported in April 2018.

What is surprising is that prices of the new 2019 Bajaj Dominar have now been reduced. Hat tip to auto enthusiast Neelesh Bajaj for the info. Launched about a month ago, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.74 lakhs, the latest price on Bajaj’s official website reads Rs 1.70 lakhs. All prices are ex-sh. It is not clear as to why Bajaj has reduced price of Dominar, as it was already a value for money bike.

UPDATE – Bajaj has clarified that the price of Dominar has not changed. It is still 1.74 lakhs. So why is the official site showing reduced price of Rs 1.7 lakhs? Well, it is a technical issue, and Bajaj is working on resolving the same.

2019 Bajaj Dominar comes with a more powerful engine than before, dual channel ABS, USD forks at the front, updated instrument cluster, new exhaust system, more comfortable speed, lower vibrations, larger radiator grille improves cooling, etc. It is on sale in Black and Green colour options. Two more colour options of Red and Silver have been teased, and are expected to be launched soon.
