2019 Ford Figo spied with black alloys and BLU badge – Launch soon

Ford India launched the updated Aspire compact sedan in India back in October this year. At that time, it was revealed that they will also give a similar facelift treatment to the Figo hatchback.

With the current Figo already discontinued, Ford is getting ready to launch the facelifted 2019 Figo early next year. The same has now been spied by automotive enthusiast and Team BHP member Bhushit Dave.

2019 Ford Figo facelift borrows some cosmetic updates as seen on the Aspire. These will include a new front end with a new grille design with chrome accents, new bumpers at the front and rear and new 15” alloy wheels. It will also receive new projector headlamps and dual tone paint scheme. Roof mounted stop lamps, revised rear bumper, chrome slat, and a BLU sticker with new decals are the updates at the rear.

Interiors will get new upholstery, bottle and cup holders, height adjustable driver’s seat, auto AC and steering mounted audio controls. A new multi information system with gear shift indicator and average fuel consumption will be on offer. The 6.5” touchscreen infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Where safety features are concerned, 2019 Ford Figo facelift will receive dual airbags, side and curtain airbags, electronic stability program, traction control, hill assist and ABS and EBD. Top of the line Titanium variant will get 6 airbags while the automatic variant will get hill launch assist, ESP and traction control.

Ford Figo facelift will share its engine lineup with the Ford Aspire. The 1.2 liter Dragon series petrol 3 cyl engine delivers 96 PS and 120 Nm via 5 MT. 1.5 liter diesel delivers 100 PS and 215 Nm via 5 MT. 6 speed automatic Figo could get the more powerful 1.5L petrol delivering 110 PS and 136 Nm.

Set to come in with a price between Rs 4.5-8 lakhs, the Ford Figo facelift will compete with the Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10.
