2019 Honda Rebel 300cc motorcycle showcased at Bangkok Motor Show

2019 Honda Rebel 300 had been updated with new features and colour options at the end of last year. It has now been showcased at the ongoing Bangkok Motor Show in Thailand, where it priced at around 150,000 Baht (Rs 3.27 lakh). The Rebel 500 is available for a price of Baht 220,000 (Rs 4.8 lakhs).

With Royal Enfield increasing their operations in Thailand market, Honda too is keeping a close eye on the development. Recently, Royal Enfield announced that they will setup a manufacturing / assembly plant in Thailand, which will be operational by June 2019. This will be RE’s first ever plant outside of India. It will help them bring down prices of their motorcycles on sale in Thailand.

Best selling Royal Enfield motorcycle in the world is Classic 350, which is the perfect rival to Honda Rebel 300. In India too, Honda has plans of launching a motorcycle in the RE C350 segment (Honda Rebel 300 is patented in India already). They plan to launch a made-in-India machine, so as to keep costs in check.

2019 Honda Rebel 300 is designed and developed for a global audience. Catering to an all new generation of riders, 2019 Honda Rebel 300 gets its power via a 286cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, fuel injected engine offering 27.3 PS power and 27 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

In terms of design, it gets blacked out fuel tank, frame and body work with a raked front end, narrow frame and tear drop shaped fuel tank and longer saddle seat. The Rebel 300 weighs 165 kgs. Seat is set low at 691mm allowing riders to place both feel firmly on the ground. Foot pegs allow for a more forward sating position while the 16” wheels get fitted with tyre sizes stand at 130/60 front and 150/80 rear.

Suspension is via 41mm conventional forks in the front with 121mm travel and 5 step preload adjustable twin shocks at the rear with 96mm travel. Braking is via 296mm front disc with twin calipers and 240 mm rear disc with single calipers. ABS is offered as standard.
