2019 Hyundai Carlino SUV and Grand i10 spied together – Video

Hyundai has plans of launching 8 new cars in India by 2020. This will include new gen variants of Creta, i20, i10, facelift of Elantra, and all new Carlino sub 4 meter SUV among others.

Most of these cars have already started testing on Indian roads. And all of them have already been spied by automotive enthusiasts, who have shared the photos / video on the internet. The latest set of spy shots of Hyundai’s new test fleet shows the 2019 Grand i10 and Carlino testing together.

Speaking about the Carlino compact SUV, it will be launched by Aug 2019. It will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. This include new 1.5 liter diesel and 1.2 liter turbo petrol. Both engines are expected to be powerful, and deliver about 120 PS of power.

On the other hand, the 2019 Grand i10 will get the same engine as seen on its current model though this engine will now be BS VI compliant. The 1.2 liter, 4 cylinder petrol engine will offer 83 PS power and 113.6 Nm torque while the 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder U2 CRDi engine will be capable of 75 PS power and 190 Nm torque mated to a new AMT gearbox.

Both cars have been designed on the new gen Fluidic language, which is also seen on the global line-up of Hyundai cars. Both Grand i10 and Carlino will come with projector headlamps, day time running LED lights, machine cut alloys and LED tail lamps. Exteriors will also be seen with an aggressive bumper design, hexagonal front grille and aggressive bumpers.

Interiors will feature similar features. These include a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, new upholstery, automatic climate control, steering mounted control and a host of safety features including dual airbags, ABS and EBD.

Expect the 2019 Grand i10 price to be in the range of Rs 5-8 lakhs, while that of Carlino in the Rs 7-11 lakhs, ex-showroom. Grand i10 will take on the Maruti Swift, while Carlino will rival Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza.
