After years of waiting, Isuzu India has finally launched their V-Cross pick-up truck with an automatic transmission option. Called 2019 Isuzu V Cross Z Prestige, this is a new top of the line variant which is powered by a 1.9 liter diesel engine, mated to a first in the segment’ 6-speed Automatic Transmission.
This new 1.9 liter diesel engine 150 PS of power and 350 Nm of Torque. Isuzu is selling this as a limited edition variant. The new limited edition 1.9L Z-Prestige variant carries a price tag of Rs 19.99 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. On the outside, the new 2019 Isuzu V Cross Z Prestige is same as the existing Isuzu V Cross. But on the inside, it gets changes.
Isuzu says, “Taking sophistication and refinement to a whole new level, the interiors of the Z-Prestige variant now flaunt a two-tone Brown-Grey combination perforated leather seats with soft parts on the dash and door trims. To make the most of the journey, this variant has live-surround speakers on the roof too. The Z-Prestige variant is equipped with 6-airbags (Driver, Front Passenger, Front Side & Full-length Curtain) and BOS (Brake-Override System) thereby comprehensively enhancing the safety aspects.”
The V-Cross now will be available in three trim levels – ‘Standard Grade’ and ‘High Grade (Z)’ and the limited edition ‘Z-Prestige’ variant. The Z-Prestige variant comes in 4 exciting colour options – Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, Pearl White and Cosmic Black, while the other variants will also be available in Obsidian Grey and Titanium Silver.
Powering the other two variants is a 2.5 liter diesel engine, which delivers 135 PS and 320 Nm via 5 speed manual gearbox. The standard variant is priced at Rs 15.5 lakhs and the High Z variant costs Rs 17 lakhs, ex-sh.
Speaking about the exteriors – Inspired by ‘Cyborg Orca’, the front of the new V-Cross carries a sporty looking grille finely bundled with Bi-LED headlamps and distinctive sharp lines. The fog lamps adorned with Chrome Bezel adds style to its function. The dynamic-looking Diamond Cut 18” alloy wheels housed in flared wheel arches underline its agile stance.
Its silhouette is further enhanced with the sporty roof-rails and a new shark-fin antenna. The newly designed side-step adds to the overall appeal and functionality, while the all-black B-pillar lends to the ‘cool’ quotient. The upgraded rear chrome bumper and embedded LED tail-lamps aptly complements the new design lines flowing through the rear.
The new Z-Prestige variant sports a two-tone Brown-Grey perforated leather seats while the High Grade (Z) and Standard Variants come with full black seats. The seats are meticulously designed to give the occupants a comfortable ride on or off the road. The dual-cockpit design is further enhanced by the new instrument cluster housing a new 3D Design Electroluminescent Meter and Gear Shift Indicators, providing pertinent information to get the best out of the drive.
The all-black dash and trim on all variants makes the V-Cross sporty and contemporary. The well-appointed dashboard, centre console and door highlights have an enriched appeal with the piano black garnish (Z-Prestige and Z variants). The door and dash trims have soft parts adding to the comfort. The second row USB charging port enables the rear seat occupants to charge their devices at their convenience.
