2019 Jeep Renegade SUV was revealed at the Torino Motor Show 2018, in Valentino Park Italy, earlier this month and has now been detailed with a full list of specifications.
Easily distinguishable from its outgoing counterpart, the new Jeep Renegade gets new front fascia, refreshed LED projector headlamps and a new front grille. Indicators are mounted on fenders sporting a white color while other exterior features include squared wheel arches with twin 5 spoke alloy wheels in 16” 17”, 18” and 19” options, rear view mirrors with integrated turn signal lights, side and under body cladding and roof rails.
Interiors of the Jeep Renegade are seen with a new central console with built in smartphone holder, twin cup holders and a host of storage compartments. It also gets a pocket for an iPad Mini or other smartphone devices, an added USB port for passengers at the rear and the Jeep can be had with 5”, 7” or 8.4” NAV Uconnect touchscreen system.
2019 Jeep Renegade abounds in safety features among which are Lane Sense Departure Warning-Plus, Intelligent Speed Assist with Traffic Sign Recognition, Auto Parking, Forward Collision Warning-Plus with Active Emergency Braking standard, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection.
Engine specifications on the Jeep Renegade facelift includes a 1.0 liter, 3 cylinder engine offering 120 bhp power and a 1.3 liter petrol engine in two states of tunes – 150 bhp and 180 bhp and 270 Nm torque.
It is not yet clarified whether Jeep will sell the Renegade facelift with a diesel engine option in global markets but India will receive the Jeep Renegade facelift with both petrol and diesel engines sometime in 2019. Jeep will commence sales of the 2019 Renegade in Europe in September while other markets will receive the Renegade at the end of this year.
