2019 Mahindra TUV 300 launch price Rs 8.38 L – 8 new features packed

Mahindra TUV 300 SUV was first launched in India in 2015. It commands a decent attention from SUV enthusiasts, which is seen in terms of sales. However it has not received any sort of major update since launch. This was changed today as the new 2019 Mahindra TUV 300 has been officially launched in India at a starting price of Rs 8.38 lakhs, ex-sh.

Mahindra TUV300 facelift is positioned on the same ladder on frame chassis as seen on the Bolero. Its exterior updates include a new front grille, revised bumper, smoked out headlamps, clear lens tail lamps at the rear and reverse parking sensors. It has also been seen with roof rails, a rear door mounted spare wheel and roof rails.

Interiors continue in the same 7 seater format as its earlier counterpart with a dual tone color scheme, steering mounted controls and 7” touchscreen infotainment system. However, the area in which the TUV 300 facelift sees the most updates are in terms of safety features in compliance with Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program (BNVSAP) norms. It now gets twin airbags, rear parking sensors, seat belt warning and speed alert system along with ABS and EBD that are offered on all variants.

Mahindra TUV300 facelift does not see any changes in engine specifications. It continues to be powered by a 1.5 liter diesel engine offering 100 PS power and 240 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The company has also plans to do away with the Ricardo-sourced AMT gearbox. In the sub 4 meter segment, the TUV300 facelift would continue to rival Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon.

Customers will have the option to choose from 7 attractive colours, including 2 new ones, Highway Red & Mystic Copper, in addition to the stylish dual tone Red + Black / Silver + Black, Bold Black, Majestic Silver and Pearl White colours. Besides the existing variants (T4+, T6+, T8 and T10), there will also be an optional pack, T10 (O), which will have leatherette seats and lumbar support.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said “We are pleased to launch the Bold New TUV300, the facelift version of the only compact SUV with an authentic SUV design that combines the space & comfort of 7 seats with performance and hi-tech features. The TUV300 has already established itself in the compact SUV segment with 1L satisfied customers. I am confident that the bolder and more muscular design, will appeal to buyers looking for a true SUV to make a stylish and powerful statement, while enabling them to enhance their lifestyles.”
