2019 Maruti Alto variant, features, colours detailed via brochure

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the Alto 800 facelift. It is presented in three variants of STD BS6, priced at Rs 2,93,689, LXI BS6 priced at Rs 3,50,372 and the VXI BS6 which carries a price tag of Rs 3,71,709. All prices are ex-showroom. It is India’s best selling car. The updated Alto gets more features than ever before, it is also more costly than before.

2019 Maruti Alto 800 facelift is positioned on the same platform on which its current model is placed. It gets revised styling and an updated BS6 petrol engine, thus becoming the second car in the company lineup to receive this updated engine after the Maruti Baleno petrol.

As the first BS VI compliant entry level car, the Alto 800 is powered by a 796cc, 3 cylinder engine offering 47 bhp power at 6,000 rpm and 69 Nm torque at 3,500 rpm. ARAI rated fuel efficiency figure for new Alto 800 falls from 24.7 kmpl for the BS IV model to 22.05 kmpl for the new BS VI model.

Updates on the new Alto 800 facelift includes color options of Uptown Red, Superior White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Mojito Green and Cerulian Blue. There is no change seen in the dimensions and the Alto 800 facelift continues to measure 3,445mm in length, 1,515mm in width and 1,475mm in height. It is seen with a new front grille design flanked by two headlamps, tweaked bumpers and fenders while it sits on 12” steel wheels in silver or black.

The interiors are done up in a two tone color scheme. The dashboard now receives AC vents and a 2 DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX-In connectivity. Safety features get updated with driver side airbag, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors, set belt and speed alert systems and Maruti also states that the new Alto 800 complies with upcoming crash and pedestrian safety norms. Below is a detailed look at the variants of Maruti Alto 800.

2019 Maruti Alto STD – This is the most affordable variant of the new Alto 800. It misses out on essential features like AC, power steering, etc. It misses out on safety features like child lock on rear doors, emergency locking retractor (ELR) seatbelts for rear passengers, etc. What it gets is dual tone interior in black and beige with vinyl seat upholstery. Exterior is bare minimum with center caps on wheels. Conveniences on the inside include bottle holders at the front and rear, driver side sun visor.

2019 Maruti Alto LXI – It is about Rs 50k more expensive than the STD variant, but the features on offer are worth your money. In addition to the standard features, it gets body coloured bumpers, door handles and full wheel covers. On the inside, it gets a combo of fabric and vinyl upholstery. It also gets silver accents in the cabin on vents, door handles and steering wheel. Other features include AC, power steering, front power windows, front passenger sun visor, integrated rear seat headrest, remote boot lid opener, front wiper with intermittent function.

2019 Maruti Alto VXi – This is the top of the line variant. It is about Rs 22k more expensive than the LXi variant. In addition to all features above, it also gets body side moulding on outside, silver accent on center console on the inside, central door locking system, keyless entry, rear parcel trail, accessory socket, internally adjustable ORVMs (manual). It also gets audio system which is compatible with USB, AUX-IN, Bluetooth, two speakers in front as well as front passenger airbag.
