The second generation Maruti Ertiga, which was launched in India at the end of last year gets feature updates right from its base variant onwards. One of the 2019 Model Year updates include new shades to the alloys on top ZXi+ and ZDi+ variants.
Deliveries of these new 2019 variants of Maruti Ertiga have already commenced. It features include projector headlamps, 3D tail lamps with LED, a new front grille.
Interiors feature new color scheme, Air Conditioning, air cooled cup holders, bottle holders, tilt adjustable steering wheel and power windows. The Ertiga also gets updated with new technologies such as start stop, brake energy regeneration and torque assist during acceleration.
All variants get safety features which include dual airbags, ABS, EBD with brake assist and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The new 2019 Ertiga also gets speed sensitive auto door lock, seat belt reminder lamp with buzzer, rear parking sensors, central locking and high speed alert system. Powering the Ertiga isa 1.5 liter petrol and 1.3 liter diesel engine. In the coming weeks, Maruti will update the Ertiga line-up with new 1.5 liter diesel engine. This new diesel engine is DDiS 225. It is more powerful than the current engine, and is built by Maruti Suzuki India. It is also BS6 ready.
The new 1.5 liter DDiS225 diesel engine will initially launch on the Ciaz facelift followed by its introduction on the second generation Ertiga. On the Ertiga it will only be offered with VDi, ZDi and ZDi+ variants.
A leaked Central Motor Vehicle document details the engine specifications of the new in-house developed 1.5 liter DDiS225 engine. This new DDiS225 diesel engine will offer 95.17 PS power at 4,000 rpm and 225 Nm torque at 1,500-2,500 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. Mileage claim stands at 26.82 kmpl. Expect a minor price hike as well.
