2019 Nissan Kicks brochure leaked – Colours, variants, features revealed

To be launched on 22nd January 2019, Nissan Kicks has been in the news often for the past few days. The Hyundai Creta rival will be the most premium Nissan SUV upon launch in India.

Kicks offers advanced safety features such as 4 airbags, vehicle dynamic control (VDC) and traction control system (TCS), hill start assist, cruise control, speed sensing door lock, rear parking sensors with camera, and follow-me-home headlamps. More details are now revealed in the official brochure.

On the inside it has classy looking instrument cluster, which has analogue dials for tachometer and fuel gauge. It also has a digital display for the speedometer. Driver seat comes with 6-way manual adjustable function and there’s an armrest between the front seats for added comfort.

Other key features include push-button start, central locking button, cruise control, four door-mounted speakers, hill start assist and eco drive mode for enhanced fuel efficiency. Headlamps come with automatic function while front fog lamps provide improved visibility with their cornering function.

Segment first Around View Monitor: Powered by 4 cameras, Around View Monitor provides 360° view of the surroundings, making it easier for the driver to manoeuvre the SUV. Driver can choose which camera view they want to see on the screen or access all 4 camera views simultaneously.

Nissan Kicks is also the official ICC World Cup car. This seems like a good move, as cricket is widely popular in the country. Tata had also used a similar strategy when it featured Nexon at 2018 IPL championship.

The latest update is the official confirmation that production has started for Nissan Kicks at the company’s Chennai plant. Both petrol and diesel engine options are on offer. Once launched, it will rival Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Renault Captur.
