2019 Porsche Macan facelift borrows styling from the new generation Cayenne and sees changes where design, comfort, connectivity and driving dynamics are concerned. Its exterior updates include a sleeker grille, sportier airdams, and revised headlamps with all LED units and LED tail lamps.
It also sports a three part, three dimensional LED strip at the rear which is a distinctive Porsche design element. Color options would include Miami Blue, Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic and Crayon. The 2019 Porsche Macan will sit on new 20” or 21” wheels with a host of customization options.
Interiors will see a new dashboard design, a steering wheel borrowed from the new 911 and a 10.9” infotainment system with Porsche Communication Management System, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It will also be updated in terms of customization options which could include a choice of two sound systems from Bose and Burmester, air ionization in the AC controls and a host of color options where seating is concerned.
Porsche Macan will get powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged, 4 cylinder engine offering 248 PS power and 370 Nm torque. This engine allows for acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds to reach a top speed of 229 kmph.
Macan S will get a more powerful 3.0 liter, twin turbo V6 engine capable of 354 PS power and 480 Nm torque. Both these engines get mated to a 7 speed dual clutch transmission with an all wheel drive system. This engine allows for acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.3 seconds to reach a top speed of 254 kmph.
The Macan and Macan S receive Porsche Sport Chrono pack with driving aids that include launch control, driving modes and updated gearbox maps for faster gearshifts and sportier response. The Macan also gets Connect Plus model offering fully network as standard and Offroad Precision App for recording and analyzing off road driving data.
Macan S is available at a price of Rs 85.03 lakh, ex sh. Price starts at Rs 69.98 lakh for the regular Macan. 2019 Porsche Macan will compete with the Jaguar F-Pace, Range Rover Velar and the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe.
