2019 Renault Captur SUV with updated features launch price Rs 9.5 L

Renault Captur now comes with enhanced safety features that are in full compliance safety stipulations by Indian authorities. In its newest form, Renault Captur Platine features new passive and active safety features, and a number of other enhancements.

Dual Airbags, Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and brake assist, Rear parking sensor, Driver & co-driver seat belt reminder, Speed alert, height adjustable seat-belts, lateral ISOFIX – child seat anchor, rear defogger, rear wiper & washer, and speed sensing auto door lock are now standard features across all Captur variants. Captur is certified to exceed frontal, lateral and pedestrian safety and is compliant with safety features. A reinforced body shell increases torsional rigidity for increased safety.

Renault Captur has ground clearance of 210mm. Capture Platine variant features auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers, roof rails, rear parking camera, cruise control with speed limiter, and 17-inch Crystal Cut alloys. Auto fold ORVM with Welcome functionality synced with the smart access card walk-away lock adds convenience during exit and entry.

Renault Captur Platine features Innovated Lighting System (ILS). This includes Sparkle Full LED headlamps, Floating Indicators, Sapphire LED DRL, and Ripple Tail lamps. Platine dual tone is availble in 6-options – Moonlight Silver with Black roof being a new combination. RXE variant is avaiable in three monotone colour options.

On the inside, one catches a glimpse black and ivory interiors with contrast accents, and Black Leatherette seats. ErgoDesign 6-way adjustable seats offer plenty of legroom in both rows. Captur’s 392 litre bootspace is expandable up to 1352 litres.

Renault CAPTUR is available in petrol and diesel powertrain options. The 16 valve, 4 cylinder, 1.5L H4K petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and returns max power of 106 PS at 5,600 rpm, and max torque of 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. As per ARAI, mileage is pegged at 13.87 kmpl.

The 1.5L K9K diesel engine (common rail injection) is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and returns max power of 10 PS at 3,850 rpm, and peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,750 rpm. Renault Captur diesel mileage is pegged at 20.37 kmpl (ARAI certified).

With the launch of updated Captur, Renault India could be hoping to get added sales. Currently, Captur averages sales of about 200 units a month. Rival Hyundai Creta registers sales of 10,000 units a month.
