2019 Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF MotoGP edition launched in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the launch of Gixxer 250 SF MotoGP edition today. It is offered exclusively in the Suzuki Racing Blue colour. This is the same livery which is seen on the 2019 Suzuki MotoGP machine, GSX-RR. From Team Suzuki Ecstar decals to the distinctive wheel pin stripes, every bit of the motorcycle hints the racing genes in the evolution of GIXXER SF 250 MotoGP edition, reveals Suzuki.

Mr. Devashish Handa, Vice President, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Following the success of GIXXER SF 250, we are thrilled to launch the MotoGP edition of GIXXER SF 250 that asserts Suzuki’s racing DNA. The Suzuki Racing Blue colour has always been the identity of Suzuki’s spirit and passion for racing.

The contemporary styling coupled with sporty design and high performance engine powered with innovative SOCS technology, further enhances the racing character of the motorcycle. We are sure that the motorcycle will be received with the same enthusiasm as the other variants of GIXXER brand.”

Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP is powered by the same engine. This is a 250cc, single cylinder, oil cooled, SOHC, fuel injected engine. This engine offers 26 bhp peak power at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine will get mated to a 6 speed gearbox and will receive Suzuki’s Oil Cooling System to cool the engine after prolonged use at higher revs. This engine on the Gixxer SF250 offers 38.5 kmpl fuel efficiency.

The new oil cooling technology, which has been introduced in the GIXXER SF 250 comes with a lightweight and fast engine providing heightened performance. This innovative technology ensures smooth acceleration, high output, compactness, low fuel consumption, high durability and ease of maintenance. The advanced SOCS engine has been specifically developed to cater to the riding needs of Indian motorcycle enthusiasts.

Features on offer include LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, split seats, sporty stance, digital instrument cluster, etc. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 sits on 17” radial tubeless tyres measuring 110/70 front and 150/60 rear. Fuel tank is of 12 liter capacity while in terms of safety, the Gixxer 250 will receive dual channel ABS. Front and rear Bybre disc brakes.
