2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 launched in India – Walkaround video

Riding on the success of their existing Gixxer line-up, Suzuki Motorcycle has now launched two new motorcycles in their Gixxer portfolio. One is a heavily updated Gixxer SF 150 and the other is an all new Gixxer 250 SF (read more about it here). The new Gixxer 150 SF will replace the older Gixxer 150 SF.

The current update for Gixxer 150 is its first proper one since launch. Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 facelift, a fully faired small bike is in its new avatar quite similar to the new 250 cc. The tailpiece, split seats, and taillight are redesigned. There’s also the all-black colour option, and rear tyre-hugger. Price starts from Rs 109,800, ex-sh.

In terms of power, 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 facelift continues to use a 155 cc air-cooled fuel-injected engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox to deliver 14.5 hp and 14 Nm of torque. The output figures aren’t expected to be tweaked in the facelift. In keeping with current norms, Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 features single-channel ABS.

Gixxer SF 150 features a regular telescopic front fork and rear monoshock. The tyres continue to be the same. Of course new seat position could improve ergonomics and seating comfort/riding position. 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 150 ABS naked street fighter is also up for cosmetic updates. Suzuki twins continue to face challenge from the Yamaha FZ-16 and R15 in their segment. In its latest form, fully faired SF ups its sporty appeal. Two colours on offer – silver and black.

With 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 sharing styling with its quarter litre sibling, the bike now features a new sporty and lean front fairing. The angular headlamp is positioned lower for a more aggressive front appeal. While the fuel tank looks to be carried forward, the fully digital instrument console layout is revised though features within in have not been updated. The black finished clip-on handlebar is a new addition.

Suzuki Gixxer offerings are meant for volumes, and with the company’s introduction of the 250 cc variant alongwith the 150cc facelift, the company expands its market reach for Gixxer customers. 2019 Gixxer SF 150 faces competition from the likes of Hero Xtreme 200S, which retails at Rs 98,500. It will also take on the more expensive bikes like Yamaha R15 V3, thanks to updated styling.
