2019 Yamaha MT09 is now available at a price of Rs 10.55 lakhs ex-showroom, Delhi. In its new avatar, the launch price is 16k over and above what one paid for the outgoing model.
2019 Yamaha MT-09 is now available in a new colour scheme – white and red. The blue and black and full black colour choices are available. The new paint scheme is in fact the only new aspect of the MT-09 in its newest avatar.
In its new colour scheme, it’s largely a play of black, gray, and white with prominent red bits, including the MT-09 logo on the tank. Yamaha has begun accepting bookings ta its dealerships.
Power comes from an 847cc, inline, 3-cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that returns 115 PS @10,000 rpm, and 87.5Nm of torque @8,500 rpm mated to a six-speed gearbox. In its segment, it competes Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821, and Triumph Street Triple 765 in India. The segment also will see KTM 790 Duke as a competitor upon launch.
Upfront is a twin LED headlamp and a flat handlebar that dictates riding stance. Overall, the combination upholds the bike’s sporty reputation, and stylish outlook.
MT-09 uses a one-way quickshifter, and is feature rich. D-mode for engine power adjustment in 3 modes, ABS , traction control are part of the deal. 2019 Yamaha MT-09 is sold in India as a CBU (completely built unit).
Apart from the MT-09, Yamaha India will soon launch baby MT in India. This will be in the form of MT15. Already spied on test, India-spec Yamaha MT15 is different than the one on sale in other markets. To keep costs low, MT15 in India will not get USD forks in the front, fuel tank will have lesser contours, tyres will be different and so on. Launch will take place on 15th March 2019.
