2020 Hyundai Creta Bookings Cross 10,000 – In Record 1 Week

Hyundai India will reveal price of new 2020 Creta on 17th March – Ahead of that, the SUV has received record bookings

First showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo last month, launch of the new Creta is getting closer. With official bookings opening earlier this month, today Hyundai India has revealed that the official booking numbers of Creta SUV has crossed the 10,000 mark. And this too in a record time of just 1 week.

What is even more astonishing is that these 10,000 buyers who have booked the Creta, have booked without knowing the exact price – showing immense trust in the brand Creta. Hyundai will officially launch Creta next week, which is when they will reveal the prices of 2020 Creta. Below is a detailed video of the new Creta, uploaded by one of the youngest automotive enthusiast we have seen. Credit Youtube channel AUTO D.N.A.

Speaking about the bookings response received by new Creta, Mr Tarun Garg, Director, Sales, Marketing & Service, Hyundai India, said, “We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response received from our valued customers that have chosen the All New Creta – The Ultimate SUV. We are receiving customer enquiries at various touch points across the country as All New Creta has created a stir with its Masculine & Futuristic stance, Smart Technology, Powerful Performance, Advanced Connectivity, Intuitive Experience and Enhanced Comfort. We have now opened the doors of the All New Creta across dealerships in India for customers to experience the opulent interiors.”

In view of rising competition, Hyundai has set the bar higher in terms of its new exterior features and more innovative interiors. It will now sport a new radiator grille, 17” alloy wheels and come in with LED headlamps and tail-lamps along with a panoramic sunroof and a host of exterior colour options which will suit the taste of the India buyers.

The new 5 seater Hyundai Creta top variant will sport fully digital instrument cluster, aircraft style gear lever with auto hold, dual zone automatic climate control and air purifier. The new Creta will also be powered by internet tech, which Hyundai calls BlueLink. This will allow you to control features like lock / unlock, AC on / off, Geo-Fencing, Speed check, etc – directly via your smartphone. In addition, there are new voice based controls as well, like open sunroof, etc.

The next gen Hyundai Creta will be powered by an engine lineup that is similar to that seen on the Kia Seltos. The petrol and diesel engines will comply with BS6 emission standards. The 1.5 liter petrol engine will offer 115 PS power and 144 Nm torque while the 1.5 liter diesel engine will make 115 PS power and 250 Nm torque. There will also be a 1.4 liter turbocharged GDi engine offering 140 PS power and 242 Nm torque. Transmission options include manual, automatic as well as DSG.

The next gen Hyundai Creta will rival the Kia Seltos, MG Hector and Tata Harrier. It is likely to be priced in a range of Rs.10-17 lakhs with deliveries to commence right from the date of launch.
