Force Motors, a major commercial van OEM, has expanded its offerings to include people movers such as the Cruiser and Gurkha SUV. Recently, the company launched the premium Force Urbania brand. In the MUV space, the Cruiser is now sold under the name Force Citiline.
Unlike the Cruiser, which has side-facing jump seats in the third row and can seat up to 13 passengers, Citiline features all front-facing seats. Providing a more comfortable and less awkward solution for transporting people. Citiline is available as a single variant, with a front fascia that sets it apart from the Cruiser. The vehicle is available at a price of Rs. 15,93,953 (ex-sh). Let’s take a closer look at this new addition to Force Motors’ lineup.
What Sets Force Citiline Apart from Cruiser MUV? A Closer Look
New Force Urbania is among its premium offerings. And there’s no CV counterpart under the Traveller brand. The same cannot be said for the Citiline sub-brand. Citiline is essentially a rebranded version of the Cruiser and Toofan MUVs, as well as other custom applications such as the Trax Ambulance, Trax Cash Van, and Trax Crew Van. Force is also likely to launch a Gurkha Cruiser variant with off-road-worthy hardware.
To differentiate the Citiline from the Cruiser, it has been given a new front fascia with an upmarket grille. Except OVRMS and door handles, all unpainted parts have been painted to give it a sleeker appearance. This MUV offers front-facing seats in a 2+3+2+3 seating layout. It gets 60:40 split bucket seats in the second row. Specifically, this makes for an easy entry and exit system. Subsequently, this improves access to the 3rd and 4th rows. Thus making it a great choice for families or groups of travellers.
Citiline MUV: A Versatile and Comfortable People Moving Solution
Citiline comes with a range of features that are sure to make your journey more comfortable. It has all-four power windows, power steering. A separate AC function for the rear occupants, ensuring that everyone is able to stay cool and comfortable. It also includes ABS and EBD, which are important safety features that help to prevent skidding and ensure optimal braking.
Under the hood, Citiline is powered by a Mercedes-Benz-sourced FM 2.6 CR turbo diesel engine, which provides plenty of power and torque for transporting a large group of passengers. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth shifting and responsive acceleration while producing 91 bhp, and 250 Nm of torque. Citiline features front independent double wishbone suspension with torsion bar front springs, and rear parabolic leaf springs, providing a comfortable and stable ride.
2023 Force Citiline offers a range of features, there are some limitations to be aware of. As a matter of fact, there are no alloy wheels or different interior options available. Although there is provision for a 2-din head unit, the vehicle does not come with speakers or steering-mounted audio controls. Additionally, the features of the Citiline are quite similar to the Cruiser MUV, which may be a drawback for some buyers.
