Launched in 2021, Hyundai Casper has received its 2023 update. It includes a new colour option and a new affordable trim named ‘The Essential Light’. With the new addition, Casper is now available in four trims. Casper is also available in van format, especially designed for carrying a wide variety of cargo.
Casper is Hyundai’s smallest SUV, measuring 3,595 mm in length. Keeping it small has multiple gains including monetary benefits. It comes in the category of cars less than 3,600 mm long, which are eligible for special tax benefits.
2023 Hyundai Casper – what’s new
A new colour option of Bijarim Khaki Mat has been introduced for Hyundai Casper. The new colour is essentially a matte version of the existing Tomboy Khaki colour option. This is the first matte colour option introduced for Casper.
And it seems to complement the SUV’s retro profile. The other colour options for Casper have been carried forward. It includes Atlas White, Unbleached Ivory, Titanium Gray Metallic, Soultronic Orange Pearl and Intense Blue Pearl. All of these come in glossy finish.
Talking about the new ‘The Essential Light’ trim, it gets features such as ventilated driver’s seat, heated front row seats, button start and smart key, artificial leather seats and leather steering wheel with heated function. Casper The Essential Light trim is available at a starting price of KRW 14,900,000, which is approximately Rs 9.08 lakh. Base-spec Casper Smart trim is available at KRW 13,850,000 (approx. Rs 8.44 lakh).
Casper trim recommended by Hyundai is ‘The Essential’. It gets additional features such as an 8-inch navigation screen, rear monitor, high pass and projector headlamps. Casper The Essential trim is available at KRW 16,900,000 (~ Rs 10.30 lakh).
For accessing the full range of features, users can opt for Casper Inspiration trim. It comes with exclusive features such as 1st row full folding seats, 2nd row sliding and reclining seats, ADAS features like blind spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist, smart cruise control and 17-inch alloy wheels. Casper Inspiration trim costs KRW 18,700,000, which is approx. Rs 11.40 lakh.
Casper van gets new Smart Choice trim
Prior to 2023 update, Casper mini SUV was available in a single standard trim. It now gets a new Smart Choice top-spec trim. It gets exclusive features such as 7-airbag system, driver seat armrest, 1st row heated seat, ventilated driver seat, button start and smart key, artificial leather seat and leather steering wheel with heating function.
Folks choosing the Smart Choice trim of Casper van can also opt for the Smart Plus package. It includes additional features such as 8-inch navigation, BlueLink connectivity suite, phone projection, 6 speakers, micro air filter, fully automatic climate control, rear wiper and washer and rear monitor. Casper van Smart and Smart Choice trims are priced at 3.75 million won and 14.8 million won, respectively. It is approximately Rs 8.38 lakh and Rs 9.01 lakh, respectively.
