Hyundai Creta Facelift is getting ready for launch in Malaysia. It gets Tucson-inspired front fascia. Bringing it slightly closer to its premium and pricier bigger brother. Indonesian and Thai markets received this facelift long ago. Markets like Brazil and India are awaiting this update. Malaysia is the next market where the Creta facelift will be launched.

Bookings for the same have commenced. Both offline and online booking formats are accepted. Pricing is still unknown. Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) is offering Creta in a sole Plus variant, equipped with a 1.5L MPi powertrain with a IVT (fancy name for CVT) gearbox option. There are no other engine or gearbox listed as of now.

Creta Facelift Bookings Start In Malaysia

2023 Creta gets a sole ‘Plus’ variant in Malaysia. There are five exterior colour choices on offer. They are Galaxy Blue Pearl, Midnight Black Pearl, Titan Grey Metallic, Creamy White Pearl and Dragon Red Pearl. Creta’s interior colour choice for Malaysian market is Black alone. Malaysian-spec Creta and India-spec Creta have similar dimensions too.

Length and height vary, but differences are negligible. It gets disc brakes at both ends. Creta gets 15” front and 14” rear rotors. It even gets an electronic parking brake, with auto-hold functionality. Alloy wheels are 17” in size. Tyre size is 215/60-R17. Spare wheel is not an alloy.

Malaysian-spec Hyundai Creta gets the same 1.5L NA MPi petrol engine. It generates 115 PS of power and 143.8 Nm of torque. India-spec Creta gets this powertrain too, with comparable numbers. In Malaysia, Creta only gets an IVT unit.

Feature Loaded Entry-Level SUV From HSDM

Hyundai vehicles generally get a lot of features. Malaysian Creta is no different. 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, ISOFIX, hill assist, front and rear parking assistance, tilt and telescopic adjust steering, LED headlights, LED tail lights, LED DRLs, are some of the exterior features. An 8” touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly.

Other notable features include a 10.25” instrument screen, fabric seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, 6-speaker music system, push-button start, remote start, paddle shifters, auto climate control with rear AC vents, drive modes, reversing camera, and more.

Creta facelift gets ADAS too. Hyundai SmartSense ADAS suite involves multiple crash avoidance features too. HSDM is likely to manufacture Creta in Indonesia, then ship it to Malaysia. Indonesian-spec Creta facelift scored an impressive 5 star crash rating in ASEAN NCAP. India-spec Creta facelift is likely to get some of these attributes as well. Expect prices of Creta facelift to be in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 19 lakh upon launch.
