2023 Maruti Super Carry Launch Price Rs 5.3 L – More Safety, Power

The new Maruti Super Carry is being offered in Petrol and CNG variants commanding improved fuel efficiency

Maruti Super Carry Mini Truck is an important model in its commercial vehicle segment and its sales numbers each month speak of its acceptability and demand among buyers in the country. Since its introduction in 2016, sales of this mini truck have touched 1.5 lakh units.

Sales of the Super Carry is conducted via the company’s 370+ commercial sales outlets across over 270 cities in India. Now the company has introduced a refreshed model of the Super Carry LCV that not only comes in with new and improved features and added safety but with a highly fuel efficient engine lineup as well.

2023 Maruti Suzuki Super Carry Launched – 2 variants on offer

Ideally suited for a host of applications, be it e-commerce, courier, FMCG and goods distribution, the Super Carry mini truck now receives improvements in ride comfort with spacious interiors, flat seat, a larger steering wheel and is capable of better maneuverability. Smooth shift of gears ensures more comfort while driving and during intermittent braking.

The company has also offered added safety equipment to the new Super Carry that gets reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders, engine immobilizer and disk brakes in the front. In terms of dimensions, the new 2023 Super Carry stands 3,800 mm in length, 1,562mm in width with a 2,110 mm long wheelbase. It has a payload capacity of 750 kgs in petrol format and 625 kgs in CNG.

Presented in four variants, the Super Carry Gasoline Deck is priced at Rs 5,30,500 while the Gasoline Cab Chassis variant is at Rs 5,15, 500. The CNG Deck and Cab Chassis variants are priced at Rs 6,30,500 and Rs 6,15,500 respectively (all prices ex-showroom).

The importance of the Super Carry in the company’s commercial vehicle lineup is seen in terms of sales. Sales of Super Carry in the past month stood at 4,024 units up from 3,797 units sold in March 2023. IN FY 2022-23 sales had stood at 38,006 units from 33,812 units sold in the same period last year

2023 Maruti Super Carry – Petrol and CNG variants

Maruti Super Carry draws its power via a 1.2 liter advanced K-Series DualJet VVT, 4 cylinder petrol engine that offers 80.70 PS power at 6,000 rpm and 104.4 Nm torque at 2,900 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. This engine is capable of better and steeper gradeability than before. Super Carry S-CNG variant receives a 5 liter emergency petrol tank. In CNG mode, power output is 71.6 PS @ 6k rpm and peak torque is at 95 Nm @ 2800 rpm.

As stated by Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the new and improved Super Carry will continue to be accepted well in the commercial vehicle segment as was seen with its earlier counterpart. It is positioned as a value product for customers and its added power, better on board comfort and enhanced fuel efficiency will also set itself apart in terms of competition.
