2023 Toyota Innova Crysta will draw power exclusively via a 2.4 liter diesel engine with manual transmission
Innova Crysta MPV has been an important model in the company lineup. Its first gen model made entry into Indian markets in 2005. Till date, sales have been close to 1 million units. Known for its reliability, along with high level of fuel efficiency and performance, it has been sought after as a family vehicle and by fleet operators. It may be recalled, that in Nov 2022, Toyota had removed the Innova Crysta from its company website when the Hycross made its official debut. Now, following the successful launch of the Hycross, the company has once again brought in the Innova Crysta, this time round exclusively powered by a diesel engine.
Toyota Innova Crysta Diesel Base Variant
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has opened bookings for the new Innova Crysta. The booking amount is set for Rs 50,000 and can be done at any of the Toyota dealerships or via the company’s website. Launch is set to take place in the coming days. Ahead of that, the first batch of 2023 Innova Crysta has now arrived at dealer showrooms. Toyota Innova Crysta is offered in four trims of G, GX, VX & ZX and five exterior color options of White Pearl Crystal Shine, Super white, Silver, Attitude Black and Avant Garde Bronze. Each of these variants are in 7 and 8 seater options except for the ZX which is exclusively offered in 7 seater only.
The new Innova Crysta sports very minor exterior changes that include a new front grille and some chrome updates on its bumper. New Crysta gets trapezoidal fog lamps, as compared to triangular units of the predecessor. Headlamps are the same as earlier. While G and GX trims get multi-reflector halogen headlamps, VX and ZX trims are equipped with automatic LED projector headlamps with LED clearance lamps. Top-spec variants have automatic headlamp levelling. Other key highlights of 2023 Innova Crysta include body coloured ORVMs, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, shark fin antenna, rear spoiler, rear window wiper and defogger.
2023 Innova Crysta interiors are also similar to the outgoing model with 7 seaters being offered with captain seats and 8 seaters receiving a bench seat in the 2nd row. On the base G variant, you get halogen headlamps, speedometer with MID, manual AC, fabric seats, power windows with auto down for driver, etc.
Safety On Base Variant
On top of the line variant you get features such as an 8 inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, keyless entry and button start. It also gets driver and passenger comforts among which are 8 way powered driver seat, one touch tumble second row seats with seating done up in black and beige.
Safety is via a total of 7 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill start assist, ABS and EBD while it also gets a 3 point seatbelt and headrest for added safety. 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta will be powered by a 2.4 liter diesel engine that is RDE compliant. This engine offers 148 hp power and 360 Nm torque and gets mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
