Tata Motors is among the long-standing leaders in affordable car segment. With the help of Tiago and Tigor along with their EV counterparts (Tiago EV and Tigor EV), Tata had a robust portfolio. The company has just updated these vehicles to MY25 with meaningful upgrades on the inside with subtle changes on the outside.
2025 Tata Tiago (ICE & EV)
The successor of legendary Indica hatchback, Tiago is an important vehicle to Tata Motors. Updating Tiago to keep it in sync with evolving customer preferences is crucial. 2025 Tata Tiago has just been launched in India starting from an attractive price tag of Rs 4.99 lakh (Ex-sh) for base XE and going till Rs 8.2 lakh (Ex-sh) for Tiago XZ NRG CNG variant.
Tata has retained both Petrol and Petrol + CNG variants of Tiago. The electric counterpart, 2025 Tata Tiago EV, is launched with a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh (Ex-sh). Where design is concerned, 2025 Tiago and Tiago EV now get a refreshed look with a new upper grill that now lacks Tri-Arrow patterns. The new candy colours on 2025 Tiago and Tiago EV look attractive too.
Bottom grill gets contrasting chrome elements spread out horizontally in ICE model. Lower grill of Tiago EV gets body-coloured elements. Headlights of 2025 Tiago and Tiago EV are new. They get a reflector setup populated by LEDs, this time around, replacing halogen projector setup. LED DRLs and fog lights are retained and the overall shape of front bumper is identical.
15-inch alloy wheel design is also carried over with ICE model. Other notable exterior change is shark-fin antenna. On the inside, we now get a 10.25-inch infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly, push-button start and the new two-spoke steering from Nexon with an illuminated logo. There’s an advanced instrument cluster too. Other notable attributes include cruise control, TPMS, Type-C charging ports and more.
2025 Tata Tigor
Alongside Tiago and Tiago EV, the company has updated Tigor ICE model. There’s no mention of a 2025 Tigor EV, which is interesting. On the surface level, 2025 Tigor gets the same fascia as 2025 Tiago. However, the chrome highlights are on the upper grill in 2025 Tigor, creating a distinct visual difference.
Tigor also gets a 10.25-inch infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly. However, new Tigor now gets more features than 2025 Tiago as it gets a new Lux top-variant based on XZ+ trim. Features include keyless entry with push-button start along with a 360-degree camera, individual front centre armrest, dual-tone cabin theme and a leather-wrapped new 2-spoke steering wheel from Nexon.
Where powertrains are concerned, 2025 Tiago and 2025 Tigor get the same 1.2L 3-cylinder NA Petrol engine with options dual-cylinder i-CNG tech. 2025 Tiago EV will get the same 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery pack options as before, promising a maximum range of 315 km on a single charge.
