Around mid-2025, the 3rd Gen Audi Q3 SUV debuted with a completely new design language to replace the 2nd Gen model. It went on sale in Europe and other markets and was expected to launch in India in 2026. Ahead of a formal announcement, two different variants of 3rd Gen Audi Q3 have been spotted in India on flat bed trucks.
They were spotted in Mumbai city by Team-BHPian nightwing_66. These vehicles seemed to be on the verge of being transported to someplace and they didn’t bear any sort of camouflage to hide their identity. Is this a signal of an imminent launch in India? Let’s take a closer look.
2026 Audi Q3 Spotted In India
In a rather interesting turn of events, two 2026 Audi Q3 SUVs of different trim levels have been spotted getting transported on flat bed trucks in Mumbai city. These SUVs did not have any camouflage on them. One variant looked like it was a base trim with single-tone alloy wheels and Continental tyres.
While the 2nd variant was of a higher trim with dual-tone alloy wheels, wrapped with Nexen tyres. In Europe, prices for this Basic Model starts from EUR 44,600 (Rs 44.2 lakh). Tech, Tech Plus and Tech Pro packages can be specced with 2026 Audi Q3 for better features and equipment as per customer’s needs.
It has to be noted that the Basic Model does not get illuminated Audi rings at the rear, as seen in one of the variants spotted in India and this feature can be had with Tech Plus and Tech Pro packages. Tech Pro also brings damper controls on suspension, trained parking, surround cameras, memory function for driver with ORVM and other features.
Autonomous driving features start from Tech package while Tech Plus and Tech Pro offering more comprehensive safety technologies. Apart from the Tech Packages, Audi also offers styling kits in Europe in the form of Dynamic Package, Exterior Package Black and Exterior S Line for buyers to suit their needs.
What to expect?
Wheel size goes till 20-inches and the new interiors of 2026 Audi Q3 follow a driver-focussed and understated appeal. There’s a 12.8-inch infotainment screen and an 11.9-inch instrument cluster, 15W wireless charging pad, gear selector on steering column, ambient lighting, premium 12-speaker Sonos audio system, acoustic glazed glass and others are notable features.
The new 2026 Audi Q3 SUV can be specced with a 1.5L 150 PS Turbo Petrol engine, a 2.0L 150 PS Turbo Diesel engine and a 2.0L Turbo Petrol engine with up to 265 PS and Quattro AWD. Q3 can be had in a PHEV powertrain as well, with a 25.7 kWh battery pack and 119 km of pure electric range.
Audi India is yet to confirm the launch of 2026 Q3 SUV. Calendar year 2026 might be the right time for the launch of new 3rd Gen Q3 in India. The company is likely to locally assemble Q3 SUV at their Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar facility in Maharashtra, similar to current model.
