Skoda Auto India has just dropped the first-ever teaser of its upcoming 2026 Kushaq facelift ahead of its official launch. The company is gearing up to make Kushaq significantly better-equipped than it currently is. This segment has heated up a lot with the launch of Tata Sierra and new Kia Seltos and Kushaq has to compete to the highest level.
2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift Teased
Being among the safest 4.2m to 4.4m SUVs on sale in India, Skoda Kushaq is gearing up for a major update in 2026. Skoda is expected to launch Kushaq facelift between 19th and 20th of January 2026. Ahead of its launch, Skoda Auto India has now teased Kushaq facelift for the first time.

Tata Sierra was recently launched as the 13th vehicle in this segment and there are two vehicles launching soon, taking the total contestants in this segment to 15. In the teaser we can see an SUV covered in a Green veil in a field. With a gust of wind, veil lifts off a little, but SUV underneath cannot be seen in its entirety.
Where design is concerned, there are not a lot of changes expected with sheet metal. So, most of the side profile and its basic silhouette is likely to remain identical to current Kushaq. Only the fiber parts may get a redesign and we can get a new fascia too. New grille, new front and rear bumpers and new lighting elements might be in the equation.

2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to pack significantly better features and equipment to attract buyers. Spy shots have confirmed the presence of a panoramic sunroof, which is among the sought-after features in India. Other elements added might include rear disc brakes, 360-degree cameras, stronger AC unit and new graphics for infotainment and instrumentation screens.
There are talks about Skoda offering Kushaq facelift a massaging seat function for rear seats, which none of its 13 rivals currently offer. Level-2 ADAS is another expectation with this vehicle as many rival SUVs come with this safety suite.

Powertrain Details
Under the bonnet, 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is expected to retain both of its Turbo Petrol engines. These include the 1.0L TSI 3-cylinder unit and a 1.5L TSI 4-cylinder unit. The larger 1.5L TSI unit is expected to retain its 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT options, while the smaller 1.0L TSI engine is expected to get a new 8-speed automatic gearbox alongside 6-speed MT.
