Tata Motors has officially teased the facelifted version of Tata Punch, confirming its launch on 13 January 2026. The first teaser images offer a close-up look at the updated design, signalling a clear visual evolution inspired by Tata’s newer and larger SUVs such as Harrier and Safari, while keeping Punch’s rugged, high-riding character intact.
2026 Tata Punch ADAS Confirmed
From the teaser visuals, the 2026 Tata Punch facelift gets a reworked front and rear design, aligning it more closely with Tata’s latest design language. Up front, the slim LED DRLs appear sharper and more horizontal, paired with a redesigned bumper that looks more sculpted and upright.

The main headlamps continue to be positioned lower in the bumper, but with a more modern housing. At the rear, the facelift brings in new LED tail-lamps with a connected light-bar effect, giving the Punch a wider and more premium stance, similar to newer Tata SUVs.
Another notable update visible in the teaser is the new alloy wheel design, which adds a sportier and more contemporary look. More importantly, the presence of a front-facing camera clearly hints at the addition of a 360-degree camera system, a first for the Punch. In addition, you can also spot the ADAS radar module in the front lower grille, which confirms new Punch to get ADAS features – another first in segment.
This feature is expected to significantly enhance safety and ease of use, especially in urban driving conditions, and could also support blind-spot monitoring and advanced driver assistance features in higher variants.

Launch on 13th Jan 2026
Earlier spy shots and interior leaks suggest that the Punch facelift will receive a substantially updated cabin, including a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a new digital instrument cluster, a redesigned dashboard layout and Tata’s latest steering wheel with the illuminated logo. Feature upgrades are expected to be substantial, potentially including ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and higher levels of connected car technology.

Mechanically, the Punch facelift is likely to retain the existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, along with the CNG option featuring Tata’s dual-cylinder layout. Transmission choices are expected to remain unchanged, with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT on offer. While powertrain updates are unlikely, the focus clearly appears to be on design, technology and safety enhancements.

With the Tata Punch being one of the brand’s strongest sellers, the upcoming facelift aims to keep the model fresh and competitive in the highly contested sub-compact SUV segment. The teaser confirms that Tata Motors is positioning the Punch facelift as a more premium, feature-rich offering, borrowing cues from its larger siblings while retaining its proven fundamentals. More details, including variant-wise features and pricing, are expected to be revealed closer to the 13 January 2026 launch.
