4 million strong Mazda3 production milestone

A decade and 7 months is the time it took for 4 million Mazda3 units to be made since production of the original Mazda3 (Mazda Axela in Japan) began in June 2003.

The four million units milestone was reached on January 22, 2014. Mazda3 has been sold in over 120 countries and regions, and accounts for about 30% of the company’s annual sales volume.

Mazda3 was fully redesigned for its 3rd gen model in 2013. It features both SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and the KODO—Soul of Motion design theme. Sales in North America began in autumn last year, and then in Europe, Japan, Australia and others. Japan has a hybrid Mazda3 to meet customer needs here.
