6 preliminary Yamaha ASEAN Cup U-13 Football matches played in day one and day two in Kolkata
The 2nd edition of the ASEAN Cup U-13 Football in association with Yamaha and The Indian Football Association (West Bengal) is underway with games scheduled between May 16th to 20th 2012. The winning team will represent India at the fourth Yamaha ASEAN Cup U-13 Football Finals in Malaysia from July 13, 2012 to July 15, 2012. Finalists will comprise of 6 teams from 5 Asian countries. This includes India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam & Malaysia (x2 teams).
Yesterday saw the 2nd season of Yamaha ASEAN Cup U-13 Football kick off at the Mohammedan Sporting Club in Kolkata. 3 preliminary matches played. This saw SAMANNOY (KASBA) and MICHEAL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA (0-2), MICHEAL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA and BARANAGAR SPORTING CLUB (3-0) and DURBAR MAHILA SAMANWAYA COMMITTEE and SANTOSH CLUB (BELGHARIA) (2-0) take on each other.
Ashraf Ul Ali Mondal was declared Man of the match from MICHEAL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA in game one. SK Sahil Kumar was declared Man of the match from MICHEAL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA in game two. Abhijith Dey was declared Man of the match from DURBAR MAHILA SAMANWAYA COMMITTEE in game three.
Today, three preliminary matches were held during the day saw SANTOSH CLUB (BELGHARIA) and BAGNAN RATNA SANGHA (1 – 0), BAGNAN RATNA SANGHA and DURBAR MAHILA SAMANWAYA COMMITTEE (1-1) and BARANAGAR SPORTING CLUB and SAMANNOY (KASBA) (5-0) take on each other.
Amit Kumar Sardar was declared Man of the match from Santosh Club in game one. Azar Bhunia was declared Man of the match from Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee in game two. Bishal Adhikari was declared Man of the match from Team Samannoy (Kasba) in game three.
The 6 Preliminary round game have now conclude after day 1 and 2 of playing. The semi final rounds between qualifying teams from the prelim rounds will be held on 18th of May 2012. The teams that have qualified for the semis are, MICHAEL NAGAR NETAJI SANGHA, SANTOSH CLUB (BELGHARIA), DURBAR MAHILA SAMANWAYA COMMITTEE and SAMANNOY (KASBA).
