With the launch of Kia Syros, the company will expand its lineup with a unique-looking offering, unlike anything India has seen before
Kia Syros is among the most anticipated new car launches in India. This futuristic SUV has been teased by Kia India multiple times now and is poised to break covers on December 19th, 2024. While the size and powertrains of this SUV are not confirmed yet, the spy shots of Syros suggest an overload of features. Let’s take a look at the prominent ones we can expect.
1. Futuristic Design
Syros will come equipped with a futuristic design language. It looks like nothing else on sale in the market, which might be its key selling point. The word ‘conventional’ leaves the equation with Syros’ design language. Even the wheels are of geometric pattern.
2. Exterior Features
Kia Syros gets vertical LED headlights, high-mounted LED tail light signature, bumper-mounted brake lights, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, flush door handles, keyless entry with at least one request sensor, chunky B Pillar area and an overall boxy silhouette.
3. Interior Design
Syros will feature a new interior design theme that no other Kia car has in India. It gets a new steering wheel with an offset logo. Main centre infotainment screen will get physical controls along with rollers for volume.
4. Interior Features
There will be twin 10.2-inch displays freely standing on the dashboard. Infotainment screen might support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly, this time around. We can expect a dual-zone climate control, a wireless charging pad, an auto-dimming IRVM, a cooled glovebox, a premium Bose sound system, ambient lighting and a lot more.
5. Passenger Comfort
Because of its boxy silhouette, we expect Kia Syros to be more spacious on the inside than Sonet. The tallboy design helps with more headroom and boot space for luggage too. Like Sonet, Syros is expected to get ventilated front seats. Driver seat might be electrically adjustable.
6. Rear Ventilated Seats?
Syros might feature the reclining seat back for 2nd row and rear window shades will be present. Also, there is a very good probability of Kia Syros becoming the most affordable vehicle in India to offer rear-ventilated seats. Also, a wireless charging pad for the rear. Both these features are seen in test mules spied in South Korea.
7. Robust Safety
With the launch of Kia Syros, the company might implement a robust safety net with Level-2 ADAS, a step up above what is seen on Sonet. Features expected include side and curtain airbags, 3-point seatbelts, load limiters and pre-tensioners, seatbelt reminders and a strong and sound structure for better crash rating.
8. Premium Quotient
While there is less clarity about Kia Syros’ size, there is a good probability of this vehicle being a vastly more premium offering than Sonet. Elements like soft-touch plastics, improved NVH and a richer appeal may be part of the package.
