Keeping up with the tradition, Suzuki’s Thai subsidiary has showcased an accessorized version of the Swift hatchback at this year’s Bangkok Motor Show. The visual add-ons aim to make the latest iteration of the popular super mini sportier.
The noticeable embellishments on the new Maruti Swift include a chin spoiler on the front bumper with black plastic extensions, LED daytime running light strips above the fog lights, black side skirts, alloy wheels, a prominent rear diffuser with pseudo twin-exhaust tips, upward swooping rear spoiler, and shark-fin radio antenna.
The accessorized Swift also sports chrome fuel filler cap, Swift branded lip for the boot, chrome highlighted door handle enclosures, silver racing stripes on the hood, and subtle black decals on the lower part of the doors. Inside, a proven red-black color scheme adds to the sporty appeal. The exhibit makes do without touchscreen infotainment and automatic climate control systems.
The Swift for Thailand is powered by the 1.2-litre 4-cylinder K12M DualJet petrol motor which is tuned to dish out 83 PS and 108 Nm of torque. The motor is available with a standard 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
On the safety front, the Thai-spec Swift comes equipped with standard dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, TCS, and Hill Hold Assist. The fully loaded variant also offers side and curtain airbags.
Prices range from 499,000 to 629,000 bahts (around INR 10.37 lakhs to 13.07 lakhs).
