The newest addition further strengthens the success of all 787s the national carrier uses to offer an exceptional experience to fliers. Air India continues to expand its network both within India and globally.
The new 787 Dreamliner wears Air India’s Star Alliance livery. It’s the first 787 to do so. The national carrier joined the global airline network last year as a reflection of strong network growth of Indian aviation market.
Dinesh Keskar, senior vice president, Asia Pacific and India Sales, Boeing Commercial Airplanes says Air India is now among a select group airlines having taken delivery of 20 or more 787s. The handover marks a successful partnership between Boeing and Air India. 787 Dreamliner continues to be of great value to Air India, and helps open new routes, while offering superior fuel efficiency and unmatched passenger comfort. Air India serves more than 60 domestic and 37 international destinations. Air India has placed orders for seven more 787 Dreamliners scheduled to be delivered.
