Making a grand entry at Honda pavilion Akshay Kumar said, “Many ask, what’s in a name? when it comes to making a choice each customer swears by the name Honda..simply because Honda is Honda.” Mr. Keita Muramatsu – President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. welcomed the the actor to the World of Honda where everyday ‘Technology meets Emotion’.

Akshay Kumar talked about gifting a Dio to his wife Twinkle Khanna last Valentine to now eyeing the newly unveiled CBR 650F which will be launched next year, for himself. ‘Chhota Bheem’ and his best friend Chutki promoted road safety awareness in a fun way among kids and family at Honda outdoor pavilion near Gate No.12 at the Auto Expo 2014 on 8th and 9th February.

Honda Auto Expo pavilion houses 9 products, and new Activa 125 was shown. CBR 650F – Honda’s higest displacement motorycle is to be assembled in India. RC 213V (2013 Moto GP champion), Goldwing (1832cc big bike), CBR 500R (500cc performance bike), PCX 125 (scooter) can be seen at Auto Expo.

‘Technology Meets Emotion’ takes new strides as Mr. Takanobu Ito (President, CEO & Representative Director, Honda Motor Company, Japan) announced, “HMSI sales volumes have already reached 2nd position for Honda’s two wheeler business worldwide. We believe India may soon be top market for Honda. Today I am happy to announce Honda will reach closer to customers with its new 4th plant in Gujarat. We will invest an additional Rs. 1,100 crore for creating new 1.2 million units annual capacity.”

Sharing Honda’s roadmap for India, Mr. Keita Muramatsu (President & CEO – Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.) said, “As Only Honda which is free to realize its Dreams for India, we are moving ahead on full throttle. Our customer driven cutting edge R&D from Technical Center and superior technology products will be supported by aggressive production capacity expansion to 5.8 million units by FY 2015-16 and speedy addition of new 500 touch-points to our viable network. Customer needs in India are evolving & we are all set to grab the opportunity with our new product line-up which will include all new Activa 125 & soon to be launched CBR 650F – Honda’s largest displacement motorcycle for India made in India.”
