Originally founded in 1893, Royal Enfield was a British company which partnered with India’s Madras Motors in 1995. This resulted in Royal Enfield being manufactured in India as well. The original British Royal Enfield company dissolved in 1971, but the Indian company continued as they had bought the rights.
