Soon, Kia India will launch Syros, offering a unique blend of design and features – Later, we also expect Carens facelift and Carens EV

One of India’s leading premium car manufacturers, Kia, has just announced a price hike across their existing lineup. This is a trend almost all car manufacturers in India are currently following. Kia’s updated prices will take effect from January 1st, 2025 onwards over current prices.

Kia India Price Hike

The Indian market has been evolving and Kia has a great setup here. Lineup starts with Sonet sub 4m SUV, followed by Seltos compact SUV, Carens premium MPV, EV6 electric crossover SUV, Carnival luxury minivan and lastly, EV9 electric flagship SUV.

Kia India has mentioned a price hike of up to 2% on its portfolio. Exact price hike on company’s locally manufactured and imported vehicles (EV6 and EV9) will be revealed at the beginning of 2025. Most of Kia’s rivals are also implementing a price hike. Buyer’s reception to this price hike is yet to be seen.

The company is citing increased input costs, rise in commodity prices and unfavourable exchange rates as the main reasons for this price hike. Kia India is promising that they are absorbing a significant portion of the increase in cost, minimising financial impact on buyers. Only transferring some of it over to buyers to bear.

Statement from Kia India

Commenting on the price adjustment, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. Vice President, – Sales and Marketing, Kia India said, “At Kia, we are committed to delivering exceptional, technologically advanced vehicles of the highest quality to our valued customers.

However, due to the persistent rise in commodity prices, unfavourable exchange rates, and increased input costs, a necessary price adjustment has become unavoidable. Despite these challenges, Kia is absorbing a significant portion of the cost increase, minimising the financial impact on our customers, so they can continue enjoying their favorite Kia vehicles without a major dent on their pockets”.

Upcoming Vehicles from Kia

While Kia India’s portfolio is already pretty strong, there is always room for improvement. Committing to the market with continuous expansion, Kia is poised to launch Syros crossover SUV with a unique take on styling. It will come equipped with a plethora of features and creature comforts too.
