Mahindra Scorpio N, a successor to the highly popular Scorpio SUV, was launched in July 2022 and came in at introductory prices starting at Rs 11.99 lakh for the entry level petrol-MT variant and Mahindra had announced that these prices were only for first 25,000 bookings, following which prices would be increased.
Mahindra Scorpio N is an important model in the company lineup along with the XUV300, Thar and XUV700. Such is its popularity that the company recently added 5 new variants to its lineup and now the Scorpio N is presented in a total of 30 trims. Like every other automaker in India, Mahindra too has also been facing shortage in supply of semiconductors which has led to long waiting periods for each of these models.
Mahindra has increased prices across the range for its Scorpio N SUV. The prices now range from Rs 12.74 lakh to 24.05 lakh (ex-sh) depending on choice of variant and petrol and diesel trims. The price hike is in view of higher input costs, a portion of which is now being passed on to the customer. The new prices are effective from January 2023.
Mahindra Scorpio N Petrol variants now start off from Rs 12.74 lakh for the base Z2 MT 7 seater. This is a 6.26 percent or Rs 75,000 over earlier prices of Rs 11.99 lakh.
There is also a Rs 75,000 price hike on the Z2 MT E, Z4 MT and Z4 MT E trims while prices have been increased by Rs 65,000 on the Z8 MT and AT. Prices of Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 L 6/7 seater variants are increased by Rs 55,000 while the Z8 L AT 6/7 seaters are higher by Rs 15,000 to a maximum of 21.30 lakhs.
Coming to the Mahindra Scorpio N Diesel trims, prices now range from Rs 13.24 lakh to Rs 24.05 lakh. The base Z2 MT 7 seater is higher by 6 percent or Rs 75,000 to Rs 13.24 lakh from an earlier price of Rs 12.49 lakh. There is also a Rs 75,000 price hike across Z2 MT E, Z4 MT, Z4 AZT and Z4 MT AWD 7 seater trims.
Prices are also increased by Rs 65,000 for the Mahindra Scorpio N Z6 MT and AT and Z8 MT and AT 7 seaters while the Z8 MT AWD 7 seater carries the maximum price hike of Rs 1,01,000 and is now priced at Rs 20.95 lakh from an earlier Rs 19.94 lakh. The top of the line Scorpio N diesel Z8 L AT AWD variant is now at Rs 24.05 lakh, higher by Rs 15,000 over earlier prices of 23.90 lakh.
Mahindra Scorpio N is powered by the same engines as seen on the Thar and XUV700. This includes a 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine that offers 370 Nm and 380 Nm torque in MT and AT while the 2.2 liter diesel is offered in two states of tune. The higher tune offers 175 hp and 370 Nm in MT and 400 Nm with automatic transmission. The lower tune produces 132 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6 speed manual gearbox as well as a 6 speed automatic.
