Tata Tiago XZ Plus with touchscreen arrives at dealer – Video walkaround

Tata Tiago XZ Plus top variant brings with new features that one has come to expect with top trims. A similar treatment was given to the Tigor a few weeks back, with the launch of XZ+ trim. And now it is Tiago which gets greeted with new top of the line variant.

Tiago XZ+ petrol is available at a price of Rs 5.57 lakhs for single tone, and Rs 5.64 lakhs for dual tone. Diesel offerings are available at Rs 6.31 for single tone, and Rs 6.38 for dual tone. Prices mentioned are ex-sh Delhi.

Tata Tiago XZ Plus petrol uses the 1.2L Revotron engine, and diesel is powered by a 1.05L Revotorq engine. Petrol engine delivers 85 PS and 114 Nm, while diesel engine delivers 70 PS and 140 Nm. Tiago XZ+ variant is available in two new colours – Canyon Orange and Ocean Blue. The car is mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. AMT variant is not on offer with XZ Plus.

On the design front, Tiago XZ+ dual tone exterior is matched with a glossy black roof and spoiler. The petrol car sits on 15” dual tone alloy wheels. There’s now a chrome accent on the tailgate, and body side molding. Watch the detailed walkaround video by Automobiles Encyclopedia below.

Tech inclusions include ConnectNext 7”(17.78cm) touchscreen system by Harman, Android Auto connectivity, voice command recognition through Android Auto, and incoming SMS notifications and read outs, and digital controls fully automatic AC. It also gets projector headlamps with smoked black bezel, and electrically folding ORVM with welcome function.

New Tata Tiago XZ Plus has been launched to take on the new Hyundai Santro, which was launched in October this year. Hyundai claimed that the Santro is the most feature rich car in the segment, thanks to the touchscreen system. But with Tiago also getting the touchscreen option, it will be interesting to see how the battle between Tiago and Santro shapes here on.
