TVS Motor Company has appointed leggy lass Anushka Sharma for its TVS Scooty line of two wheelers. The upcoming actress with a childlike smile will be promoting the TVS Scooty brand in India. With a fresh new face as brand ambassador, TVS has made its intent clear about target customers in India.
According to TVS President Marketing, HS Goindi, The Scooty brand of scooters epitomize spunk and style for young women in India. He added that Anushka Sharma was their first choice as brand ambassador for being a young independent and successful woman.
There’s fierce competition in the two wheeler scooter segment in India. Mahindra has roped in Kareena Kapoor for its brand of scooters and Hero Motor Corporation, India’s largest maker of two wheelers has Priyanka Chopra to promote their range of two wheeler scooters. Anushka Sharma expressed that TVS Scooty was an icon among young women in India and that it was an honor to be a part of a brand that has a rich legacy in India. This is not the first time Ms Sharma is being associated with TVS, back in 2005 she did a promo for the same company. “It’s almost like ‘homecoming’ for me. As a young woman I know how important independence and mobility is to me.
