Aston Martin unveils one of a kind DB9 Facebook fans edition (Photos)

Earlier this week, British luxury car maker, Aston Martin unveiled a unique DB9 edition at their Gaydon Headquarters. The car in the images here, celebrates Aston Martin reaching out to 1 million people on Facebook. Aston Martin started this campaign on Facebook last November, under which they will build a car that will be designed by their Facebook fans. But this car will only be built if, Aston Martin’s official Facebook fan page crosses over 1 million likes.

And one fine day earlier this year, Aston Martin’s Facebook fan page did cross 1 million mark, its currently over 1.7 million. Speaking about their new car, named DB9 1M, Aston Martin says, “Launched last week, in the company of some of our facebook fans at our Gaydon Headquarters – the DB9 1M, a car designed by you, built by us! The car marks the end of the commemorative campaign to celebrate reaching one million fans on Facebook in which we gave you, our facebook fans, the chance to specify your dream Aston Martin. Fans decided on all aspects of the car including the model itself to the interior trim and then finally choosing the exterior ‘Aero’ wrap.”

Facebook, the largest online social media website, has much more to offer than sharing photos and wall posts. The world today is using Facebook in every way possible to reach out to the masses. It will not be wrong to say today that Facebook is the fastest and easiest way to reach out to your fans or share updates. Every car manufacturer has a Facebook fan page today, through which they keep their fans updated with the latest developments.
