Aston Martin DBS Ultimate Edition will be the last of DBS sportscar (Video)

Aston Martin DBS sports car, which has been in production since the past five years is on its way out. But before the final adieu, Aston Martin has announced a new V12 powered DBS Sports Car special edition. Not a car to fade quietly into the sunset, the company will be bringing out a special edition version of the current model as a final farewell and will be giving an apt name of Ultimate Edition. 100 such Ultimate Editions will be out in the market with 30 of these slated specially for the United States car market.

Aston Martin DBS is a two seater sportster, offering high level of performance. It has been designed with exquisite interiors fitted with quality materials and offers the lasted in performance technology. Aston Martin headquarters at Gaydon have announced that this will be replaced by a new model by end of this year. 100 number of DBS Ultimate Edition will be a fitting farewell to the legendary DBS.

These 100 Ultimate Editions will see a new paint job, unique wheels and more standard equipment as is normally seen on a DBS. It will be available in Coupe and Convertible models with 6 speed Touchtronic transmission while no manual option will be offered.

Aston Martin first launched the DBS at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance back in 2007. Though the car is built in England, its heart comes from Germany. Powered by a 5935 cc V12 that generates 510 bhp and 570 Nm torque, gives the DBS a topspeed of 190 mph (310 kmph) and ability to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds. The DBS also had its fair share of fame. James Bond drove the DBS in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
