Aston Martin Dragon88 limited edition to be available in V8 Vantage, Virage and DBS variants
Aston Martin has revealed details about their Dragon88 limited edition variants which are scheduled to be unveiled during the Beijing Motor Show later this year. China entered Year of the Dragon earlier this year on 23rd January. In order to celebrate this occasion, Aston Martin announced Dragon88 limited edition special edition for their buyers in China.
Rolls Royce, another British luxury car manufacturer, too had launched Year of the Dragon variants for their customers in China. The launch was such a success that within just two months, all units of Phantom Year of the Dragon were sold out, each worth $1.2 million.
Aston Martin too is expecting a similar response for their Dragon88 variants which will be available in V8 Vantage S, Virage and DBS models. 8 being a lucky number in China, representing luck, Aston Martin has named these variants Dragon88. Only 88 Dragon88 edition Aston Martin supercars will be available in China.
Aston Martin Dragon88 variants will be available in rich and vibrant color that represents Chinese history and art. On the inside, buyers will have an option to select Champagne Gold, Volcano Red or Amethyst Red as their color scheme. Champagne Gold represents wealth, fortune and dragon status. Amethyst Red represents peace, protection and wealth. Volcano Red represents dragon fire.
On the inside of a Dragon88 variant you will also find an embroidery design which is inspired from Nine-Dragon Wall in Beijing’s Beihai Park. In China, Aston Martin has seven dealerships, of which their largest dealership was opened earlier this year in Shanghai. Features of the new Aston Martin Dragon88 variants include Bang and Olufsen speaker system with headset, new 10 spoke dragon edition alloys, special edition black brake calipers.
