Founded in 1913 by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin, luxury car brand Aston Martin will be celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Today, Aston Martin shares lie with a Investment Dar, Investindustrial and Ford motor Company. Aston Martin Racing is a subsidiary of this brand which is trusted with bringing back Aston Martin to the motor sports circuit.
A number of events have been scheduled to celebrate this auto manufacturer’s existence. These events have been planned in Europe and USA where the brand has enjoyed a lot of support. To help create a long-lasting impression of the 100 years this brand has in the auto industry a commemorative logo based on the design of a nautilus shell was launched by the British car maker.
Festivities will begin on 15th of January, when a plaque will be presented by the brand at its initial headquarters in London after which a separate event will feature a reenactment of Lionel Martin. These festivities will be held from 15th to the 21st of January and will aim to bring together fans and owners of these superior vehicles. A new Aston Martin Vanquish and a prototype A3 will be showcased at events in London.
Other events include a car show which will see over 1000 cars coming together in Gaydon which is the brands current headquarters. A James Bond inspired driving event in England and another one at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California are some of the other events which have been planned in view of the 100th anniversary celebrations in 2013.
