ith the Indian auto market embracing luxury vehicles with open arms it comes as no surprise that Aston Martin successfully retails at a price range of Rs.1.5-2.7 cr and in 2011, close to 25 cars were delivered. The first Aston Martin exclusive dealership in India was set up at Mumbai under the watchful eye of Lalit Choudary, MD of Infinity Cars.
Aston Martin takes India as a serious sales destination, and previewed their ultra-luxe Marquee car in New Delhi prior to the official launch at the ‘Great British Garden Party’. The chosen backdrop was the British Ambassador to India’s residence and the luxury vehicle in question was the world class four-door Aston Martin Rapide. The showcasing was also attended by Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Rt. Hon Dr Vince Cable.
General Manager for the Aston Martin Middle East and North Africa (AMMENA) region, Mark Kenworthy had this to say. “It was indeed a great honour for Aston Martin to showcase the Rapide 4 door 4 seat sports car to such a discerning and knowledgeable audience. India provides an excellent market sector for the Aston Martin brand. Its core ethos of luxury, hand craftsmanship, state-of-the-art manufacture and practicality have really appealed to the Asian sub-continent.”
