Audi A1 quattro hatchback 252 bhp limited edition announced (Photos)
German car manufacturer, Audi AG has announced that they will soon be launching a new limited edition of their supermini class of hatchback, A1. Powered by a 252 bhp petrol engine, only 333 units of this very powerful small car will be produced ever. Apart from a very powerful 2.0L TFSI petrol engine, that generates a maximum power of 252 bhp and maximum torque of 350 Nm, the limited edition A1 also features Audi’s trademark all wheel drive system, Quattro.
Audi A1 limited edition has been designed to perfection right to the smallest detail. This Audi small car accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 245 kmph. The transmission is taken care by a six speed automatic gearbox. Audi engineers have successfully managed to give the limited edition A1 quattro hatchback a mini sportscar look. Fuel consumption too is decent as the car gives a mileage of 11.7 kmpl.
Audi will start delivery of A1 quattro by July 2012. Audi has installed state of the art features in the A1 quattro including Bose sound system with 14 speakers, LED light guide, Bluetooth car phone with online connectivity, integrated Wi-Fi, MMI navigation, LED lighting on the inside, rain sensor, park assist, alarm system, cruise control, and much more.
Audi A1 quattro is available with 18” cast alloys and the tires installed are 225/35 series. Dimensions of the A1 Quattro are 3,987 X 1,740 X 1,416 (L X W X H) mm, making it a little longer than the standard A1 hatchback. Boot space is at 210 ltrs, which can be increased to 860 ltrs once the rear seats are down. Nothing about pricing has been mentioned as of now, as Audi is expected to reveal price in 2012.
