Audi A3, e-tron concept, Audi S6 and Audi Q7 V12 at 11th Auto Expo in New Delhi

In celebration of their remarkable growth in the Indian luxury car market, their 5th year in India saw the Audi pavilion resplendent with the sporty Audi S6 limousine, the new futuristic A3 e-tron concept, compact SUV – Audi Q3, the diesel SUV – Audi Q7 V12 and other luxury vehicles from the Audi India range.

Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India had this to say. “For four consecutive years, we have successfully exceeded our projected sales targets and have been able to carve a niche for ourselves in the Indian luxury car segment. We attribute this growth to our continued focus on introducing an energetic product line, qualitative network growth and strong brand presence. Audi Q3 premium compact SUV Showcar: Here’s an efficient, sporty and versatile SUV that’s trendy at the same time. It’s classic coupe-like styling design highlights it’s sporty DNA. A lightweight body, efficient drivetrains and chassis is backed with futuristic multimedia and assistance systems.

Audi A3 e-tron notchback sedan concept Showcar: This four-seat notchback sedan finds support in a MMI operating system, efficient drivetrain, and high-end infotainment system. The Audi S6 daily use sports car is a practical vehicle that goes forward with a new engine. The 4 liter, twin-turbo V8 ensures that it’s powerdrive doesn’t compromise on fuel efficiency.

The Audi Q7 V12 TDI quattro enjoys the distinction of being the most powerful diesel engine SUV. The twelve cylinder diesel doesn’t sacrifice on fuel efficiency.  For December 2011 Audi India sales stood at 394 cars recording an 86% growth on a month on month comparison when the German auto manufacturer sold 212 cars.

Audi has sold 1,193,100 cars globally from January to November 2011, which equates to an 18.8% growth for the same period the previous year. Audi set a global sales target of 1.3 million units for 2011. The German automaker enjoys the reputation of being a premium car brand China and Europe. They are also the quickest luxury car manufacturer in India and USA.
