Audi AG has seen tremendous increase in sales during the month of November 2012. Sales reached 123,600 units, up 10.9% during the month as compared to sales in same month of previous year. In period January to November 2012, company sales totaled 1,344,750 units, up 12.7% as compared to sales in same period in 2011 when sales for entire year totaled 1,302,659 units. These figures were remarkable, especially considering the difficult market situation being faced by most auto makers across Europe.
Audi sales in Europe increased 3.5% during January to November 2012 while taking sale in China during November saw a 25.9% increase and sales in the US were up 24.4%. Increased demand in the US is seen in the full sized categories and the company is keen to enhance their diesel range specially where TDI diesel variants of the A6, A7 and A8 are concerned. Audi will also be introducing a TDI version of Audi Q5 in the US with sales commencing from 2013.
In Chinese markets Audi was in great demand with November 2012 sales reaching the 37,600 mark. During the first 11 months of 2012, Audi sales in China touched 370,559 units, an increase of 30.7%. Indian sales were also noteworthy with an 89.4% increase in sales in the country with 805 units delivered.
