Audi India sales for Q1 2015 stand at 3181 units (PY 2740 units), equating to 16.09 pct growth. Audi sales units in Q1 2015 were higher at Q4 2014 when 3044 units were sold. Audi India has bet big on its A3 sedan launched in 2014 and began local production before launch. Over the years, A4, A6, Q3,Q5, and Q7 began local production though they were launched as CBU’s to begin with. While customer response has been noteworthy, Audi India is dealing with waitlisted products owing to supply constraints. This prevented the company from selling more cars for Q1 2015.

Audi A3 and A6 sedans, and Q3 SUV orders are now scheduled for April and May deliveries owing to supply issues. Having begun Q1 2015 on a strong note, Audi India has 10 launches scheduled through 2015 to provide the required boost to keep sales momentum high to retain its top spot. The first launch in 2015 was the 99 units limited edition Audi R8 LMX made available at a price of Rs 2.97 crores. To begin Q2 2015 with a strong foot forward, Audi will launch at least one car over the year. New Audi TT model launch is expected this month.
